Calcinotto are delighted to be part of this brand new Dorset based networking venture, in conjunction with our partners Brymor Construction, BrightSpace Architects, Hoare Lea and RPS. Our first breakfast networking event was held at the Harbour Heights Hotel in Poole on Wednesday 27th November, with proceedings being kicked off by a brief welcome from David Mills of Brymor followed by an opening address from Bill Cotton of BCP Council, outlining the recently formed council’s aspirations for the region over the coming months and years. Hoare Lea then delivered a very informative and thought provoking (read: fantastic) presentation on “Smart Cities: Smart Buildings” to a full house, which generated some interesting questions from the audience and further discussion afterwards during the informal opportunity to network that followed. It certainly made many of the delegates think about the part they could play in bringing about the shift in how we approach construction projects that will surely need come in the not too distant future.

This was the first in what we hope will be a series of events held over the course of each calendar year, with breakfast networking being interspersed with visits to sites of interest – keep an eye out for the date of the next event so as not to miss out!
