This Department of Education/Hampshire County Council funded project is situated in Chineham, Basingstoke and will provide a new SEN school for children from 4 to 18 years of age. The existing school building on the site is being demolished and replaced with a specially designed two storey steel framed building to meet the needs of the pupils, incorporating SEN appropriate external spaces including a MUGA pitch and various play areas. The existing ground slopes from south to north, necessitating the introduction of numerous retaining walls of various forms across the site to suit the location. The foul drainage discharges into the local system via a pump station and SUDS has been adopted for the surface water drainage solution.
