Calcinotto are open to accepting up to a 5-day work experience placements to give back to the industry. During your time in the office, you will experience a working environment and participate in all facets of the business. This will span engineering sectors as well as the admin and marketing sides too.
Overview
A typical day in the life of one of our students would be to work closely with an engineer learning the softwares they use and applying it to a real-life task. This could be designing your own house on Revit or using measurements picked up from a site visit to replicate a technician’s role. You will also spend time with our Business Development & Marketing team to gain key insights into the world of construction whilst working on our digital presence and company outlook.

- Site Visit: Half day on site with a senior engineer
- Office placement: 5 days per placement at our office
General Responsibilities & Daily Activities
Responsibilities
- Support engineers both technically and on engineering projects
- Work with engineers and your assigned mentor
- Learn and use engineering software with expert guidance
- Maintain project files and documentation
Daily Activities
- Participate in team meetings
- Assist structural technicians with daily tasks, including drafting techniques and standards
Requirements
- Willingness to learn and develop technical and engineering skills
- A keen interest in engineering-based subjects.
