Located in the heart of Bournemouth town centre, the St Stephens Road development comprises 46 high quality build-to-rent apartments, built on an existing council owned car park, providing accommodation across a pair of blocks rising 6 and 7 storeys above street level. The buildings are constructed on a podium to accommodate this challenging, sloping site and is constructed using reinforced concrete frames, utilising flat slab design techniques to minimise floor depths and facilitate the distribution of M&E services throughout the ceiling zones. A sleeved piled foundation solution was adopted to assist with overall global stability of this sloping site, in line with recommendations in the slope stability report.
