Introducing MYTIME!
MYTIME Young Carers are our charity partners for this year, starting in September 2024 until Sep 2025. The team chose MYTIME because we believe that there simply is not enough coverage for young carers, especially for the amount of responsibility that comes with their daily lives. These young carers often make huge sacrifices for their home life, and this can affect their future as well as there current.
MYTIME fights for young carers, ensuring they are at a level playing field. A young carer is A young carer is a child or young person under the age of 18 (18–25 for young adult carers) who helps look after someone in their family, or a friend, who is ill, disabled, living with a mental health condition or who misuses substances.
Calcinotto aims to support MYTIME with fundraising opportunities, both inhouse, and extended to our network. Further to this, we will be looking to take on Young Carers as work placements, giving them a much needed working environment that they may not have been able to experience. We hope to improve the coverage of MYTIME, both as a cause and a charity throughout the duration of our partnership, and look forward to opportunities between both parties.
