On Sunday (26/05), the Calcinotto team took on a huge challenge – the Dorset Gravel Dash! This entailed 100 miles around Dorset to raise money for our charity partners, Dorset Mind.
We have partnered with Dorset Mind for this year, as their focus on Mental Health aligns with our vision of reducing stigma in the construction sector, encouraging people to speak out. Earlier this year, we took further steps towards achieving this goal.
The Ride
On the day, the event was a huge success, raising over £1500 (at the time of writing!), and we are grateful for each and every sponsor, but most of all, the team who participated, taking time out of their schedule for charity.
It was a tough challenge, as it had rained the night before, softening the ground throughout which made some points difficult to cycle over. However, on the day, the sun was out early, and it was hot from the start, but the team pulled through and completed the challenge in under 12 hours!
