This project consists of a bold, zinc clad modern house in Poole, featuring Purbeck limestone walls. This bespoke four bedroom contemporary property replaced an ageing 1960s bungalow in the Branksome Park Conservation Area in Poole, Dorset.

Challenge

Offering unparalleled luxury and comfort

The challenge here was to design a complex, with accessibility, communal amenities as well as promote sustainability within the area.

Solution

Focusing on smart and efficient design

It opens-up, maximising views into the garden with solar gain towards the southern elevations. The contemporary minimal house is set over three floors and has footprint of around 550m².

The structure is a hybrid construction utilizing steel framing and a combination of masonry infill walls and load bearing masonry walls supporting precast concrete floors. The exterior skin is clad in local Purbeck limestone and a pre-painted Zinc cladding.
