This new aftersales facility has used the JLR branding incorporated into the design by SRA Architects, and was opened in 2018.

Challenge

Using the original frame to reintroduce concepts

To create the largest JLR aftersales facility in the UK (other than Jaguar Land Rover’s own operation in Coventry). As well as this, to build on a stand-alone, three-acre plot just a few metres from Westover’s Land Rover showroom on Bailey Drive in Christchurch

Solution

Creating a fit-for purpose operation centre

Calcinotto collaborated with Knights Brown and SRA architects to produce a stunning new Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Service Centre situated at Bailey Drive, in Christchurch, Dorset. This scheme followed a £7.5 million first phase investment in the brands by local motoring company, the Westover Group.

The facility carries out service, MOT and general maintenance work on both Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. It has 29 vehicle bays, including two for electric vehicles. Fully equipped with five-star staff facilities and the very latest equipment, the facility’s compound area has 172 dedicated customer spaces.

This Project was completed in 2018, alongside a jointly-branded showroom created on the site of the old Land Rover dealership. Since it’s completion, it has stood to be a pillar in mechanical aftersales which has benefitted the community greatly.
