Parvalux is the UK’s largest manufacturer of fractional-horsepower, geared, electric motors. Supplying to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide in markets including, Industrial, Automation, Materials Handling and Building Automation.
Challenge
Providing high-end facilities with space for growth
To construct a purpose-built 140,000 square foot factory and office headquarters amalgamating the electric motor factories and administrative functions, as well as providing additional room for future growth.

Solution
Focusing on production and sustainability
The new site will house a workforce of almost 200 people and brings together operations that were previously spread across three seperate sites. This development will lead to a predicted double in growth for Parvalux by 2030.
The building was designed with sustainability in mind – it housesmore than 1,500 solar photovoltaic panels – one of the largest installations of solar panels on a single building in southern England – and these are expected to reduce the company’s CO2 emissions by around 343 tonnes a year.
Material delivery trains on the production floor will reduce the need for manual labour, allowing staff to focus on production. An app developed by the company’s logistics department tracks where stock is located, speeding up the materials-picking process and saving time when locating materials for orders.
