The brief from the developer client was to maximise space and light, with open-plan living areas facing the water, allowing for spectacular views from your kitchen, dining table and lounge.
Solution
Innovative designs for a better living experience
Situated in the enviable position overlooking Poole Harbour towards Brownsea Island, this Pegasus Life project comprised a five storey apartment block for the 50+ private residential market and was constructed using a combinations of reinforced concrete and traditional masonry construction. The external works included a waterfront garden, with negotiations required with both the Harbour Commission and Wessex Water to gain approval for the much needed restoration of the existing sea wall. In order to facilitate excavation for the lowest two floors, CFA piling was required to restrain the sand along three sides of the site.
